Qingping Lite FAQ

To set up your Qingping Lite, follow these steps

Download the Qingping+ (basic) or Qingping IoT (advanced) app on your phone to access monitor settings.
Connect the monitor to the app (instructions in the documents section) and check for any firmware updates.
Review the default settings: Auto calibrate CO2: Ensure the device is exposed to 400-500ppm CO2 for a few hours each month by taking it outside or placing it near an open window. If necessary, reset the CO2 sensors in the app settings.
Auto switch off and screen auto off: These settings help preserve battery life by turning off the device when not plugged in or during the night. To continuously record readings, adjust these settings in the app.

The Qingping Lite Air Monitors do not support Wi-Fi networks that require web page authentication or special login clients. Ensure that your network signal is compatible before purchasing; the monitor only supports 2.4GHz or 2.4GHz/5GHz networks and will not work on a 5GHz-only network.

No, real-time air monitoring works without an internet connection. However, the device can store historical data only when connected to the internet.

The monitor keeps hourly data from the past 24 hours and the highest and lowest readings per day for the past 7 days. You can export historical data using the Qingping IoT app.

The QP Lite can only store data continuously when connected to Wi-Fi. Without Wi-Fi, it only shows real-time information. Each time you connect to a different Wi-Fi, you need to pair it with the app again. For continuous data recording while on the go, consider the QP Pro, which has on-board storage.

The monitor has a standby time of about 6.5 to 7 hours from fully charged to automatic shutdown. It is recommended to keep the monitor connected to a power supply. The QP Lite has a built-in power management function similar to a laptop, preventing battery damage.

To keep costs down, only a USB power cable is provided. Use a 5v USB-C to USB-A cable with a USB-A port plug. Laptop cables are too powerful and may cause overheating. Always check the voltage before using any substitute cables.

The Qingping Lite Air Monitors include:

SenseAir CO2 Sensor S8: Nondispersive infrared (NDIR) spectrum analysis, known for high stability, consistency, precision, excellent anti-interference, and sensitivity.
Grandway sensor: Built-in laser scattering PM2.5 sensor with high precision.
Swiss Sensirion sensor: Built-in temperature and humidity sensor with high precision.

Accuracy can vary based on environment and testing methods. Internal test accuracy ranges are:

CO2: ±15%. Low-cost sensors may struggle with uniform CO2 distribution
Temperature: ±8℃ (device must be on and placed in a windless environment for 30 min)
Humidity: ±8% (device must be on and placed in a windless environment for 30 min)
PM2.5: ±10μg/m³ (readings < 100μg/m³); ±10% (readings > 100μg/m³). The PM2.5 sensor can be affected by ultrasonic humidifiers

The sensors auto-calibrate and are pre-calibrated at the factory. Ensure exposure to 400-500ppm CO2 for a few hours each month by placing the device outside or near an open window. If necessary, reset the CO2 sensors via the app settings.

Yes, it comes with a 1-year warranty. The device should not be used in dusty or very humid environments. Under normal living conditions, no accuracy reduction issues are expected within 3 years. This is an estimation, not a warranty promise.
